Yellow peas prices touch 100/kg on firm demand, shrinking supply

Retail prices of yellow peas have surged to a record Rs 100 per kg owing to firm demand and dwindling supply. This happened as wholesale prices increased 15-20% in two months and fourfold in two years to about Rs 80 per kg after India banned import of the commodity.
