Difficulty in identification of borrowers and delay by PSBs led to poor performance of rural poor to the scheme, the rural development ministry said.

“Total subsidy disbursed under the scheme till January 14, 2021 is Rs 12.20 crore as against the initial allocation of Rs 48.54 crore for the scheme on July 31, 2019,” rural development minister Narendra Singh Tomar said in response to a question in Lok Sabha on Tuesday.
