Government to sell 30 lakh tonnes of wheat in open market to control surging prices

In order to curb the rise in the price of wheat and wheat flour (atta), the government will sell 30 lakh tonnes of wheat on the open market from its buffer stock, sources revealed. Atta's average selling price has increased to about Rs 38 per kg. Wheat stocks will be sold to flour millers and traders among others.
