Onion merchants extend help to farmers after imposition of 40% export levy

Onion merchants in Delhi's Azadpur mandi are offering support to farmers who are concerned about the decline in onion prices due to the government's decision to impose a 40% duty on onion exports. The merchants have advised farmers from different states not to rush and sell their onions at a loss. They believe that wholesale prices will decrease by Rs 5 per kg within two weeks, and retail prices will drop by Rs 10 per kg.
