Tomato prices plummet from Rs 300 to Rs 14 per kilo within weeks; Analysts warn further dip to Rs 5

Tomato prices in India have taken a sharp downward turn after reaching a peak of nearly Rs 300 per kg. Prices dropped to as low as Rs 14 per kg in the Mysuru APMC market, while in Bengaluru, prices ranged from Rs 30 to Rs 35 per kg. The decline is attributed to a slump in demand, with tomatoes being imported from Nepal.
