Paddy acreage up 3% to 411.52 lakh hectare so far this kharif sowing season, pulses area down 5%

According to data from the agricultural ministry, the area planted with paddy has increased by over 3% so far during the current kharif sowing season to 411.52 lakh hectares, while the area planted with pulses has decreased by 5%. In the same period last year, there were 400.72 lakh hectares (LH) of paddy acres.
