Sugar prices up on deficient rainfall in key cane states

Retail and factory sugar prices in India have risen by approximately 3% in the past month due to a persistent monsoon deficit in key sugarcane producing states. Retail prices range between ₹40 and ₹45/kg, while factory gate prices in Kolhapur have reached ₹37/kg.
