Odisha investing over Rs 2,500 cr for providing income, livelihood support to millet farmers

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced an investment of over Rs 2,500 crore to support millet farmers in the state. The state launched the Odisha Millets Mission in 2017 to revive the cereal ecosystem. The promotion of millets is seen as a way to provide justice and equity to rain-fed farmers.
